![]() ![]() ![]() The type of sounds you can't make convincingly with an analog synth. ![]() It excels at things like pianos, slap basses, choirs, guitars, bells etc. I picked it up in the sale, so it hasn't gotten a lot of use yet, but I like it. The Mono/Poly is more versatile, since it has two oscillators and more on board effects. But one of them is that bass patch, which many people would consider justifies the purchase. Also, if you're a preset user rather than a sound designer then it's worth noting that it only ships with 32 presets. I am sure the Polysix is good, but honestly the only thing I have ever used it for is that bass patch, and only once. So here's my 2 cents on the Korg synths I own. I'm coming to this too late, but if you passed on the sale you always can pick it up next year (and the Korg synths are cheap even at full price).
